Background
We are looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join our team remotely in preparation for our Circular Business Project.
Under the guidance of the executives, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring high-quality and timely inputs in the Project and ensuring that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs.
About the Circular Business Project
The Circular Business Project is a research & development program initiated by the African Circular Business Alliance (ACBA) with the core purpose to build valuable circular market data and strategic guidelines for a sustainable-profitable circular economy in Africa. The project will span 11 African countries and cover over 10 business industries/sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor the project activities and progress towards achieving the project output
- Recommend further improvement of the logical framework
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results
- Monitor the sustainability of the project’s results
- Provide feedback on project strategies and activities
- Suggest strategies to the Executives for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks
- Assist HQ in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations
- Willingness to often travel to the project site when required (NB: travel and accommodation fees will be covered by the organization)

Education and Skills Requirement
- University Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- Strong enthusiasm about environmental science, climate change, circular economy or green technology
- Experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects on environmental science, climate change, circular economy or green technology (optional)
- Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports
- Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software
- Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
- Strong training & facilitation skills
